a trip, short, about a week long.

of monasteries, winding roads, mountains of dust;
of stone palaces and crumbling forts
of stupas, relics, folk art of sorts

a mini-bus, the arduous ride
a fair face softens, laid by one's side
of forgotten youth, of lost innocence
of faith, of religion, of one's conscience
